Undas 2010

November 1 is "Undas" or All Saints Day, here in the Philippines we dedicate this day in reminiscing our loved ones who pass away by lighting candles, flowers and offer prayers on their tomb. This is also the same time we saw our grannies, Aunts, cousins  more like a reunion.

For my sons it was hist first to visit our relatives museleo and he enjoys it so much he even burns his eyelashes that, ang likot sobra.

Torn Between Two Boys

I finally decide to choose between the two, yes after months of thinking and weighing things. I choose to leave Levi behind and be with Junuel.

It is the most selfless thing to do right now, it breaks my heart to leave my son and not to physically feel the warmth of  his sincere kisses and hugs every day, but I am doing this for his good. For him to have a better future so he can have a house of his own and a comfortable living as well.

I will be Junuel for the coming months, we would be like a newlywed again, just the two of us. Don't get me wrong, I am happy that I will be with my husband it's just that I feel a part of me will not be normal again without Levi on my side.

Surely there will be a lot of tearful nights, they say that "homesickness" will just be for a week or two and you will get use to it. I am not sure of it, yes there are YM and skype, but still I won't get to kiss my son, I won't be able to smell him, it will cold without his hugs at night.

Junuel assure me we will get Levi as soon as we manage to have a pass for him, but that will materials only after few months or even a year. I am hoping to survive this phase of our life, I pray to God for His guidance especially to my precious love, my Levi.

Philippine 2010 Election Guide

Posted of My other blogs too My Simple Life andIn My Opinion

At Exactly 25 days from now every Filipino will exercise our rights to elect national leaders and help us God to choose the one who is less corrupt, at least conscientious and economically efficient (to the country and not on their own pockets) future public officials.

2010 May Election is another history which will ink permanently in our books, may it be in good or bad point we will soon know. Since our voting procedure will evolve from manual writing of names and one-by-one counting of ballots to computerize voting involving the very much controversial PCOS machine. These aims for fast voting process, fast tallying in seconds and fast proclamation of winners.

What is PCOS machine? It is a counting machine or Precinct Count Optical Scanner so to say, I had been searching the net to find out tips on how to manipulate it este! use it, but I can't find all I gather is that  voters only involvement on this machine is feeding the ballot on it and make sure that it accepts your vote and the rest will be taken care of by PCOS technicians aka board of election inspector. They say that certain data and information should be kept in confidential for the sake of security, I really hope those codes and passwords won't leak out and PCOS software are hack-free to ensure CLEAN and HONEST.

What if a brownout occurs on May 10? Comelec ensure that there is a back-up batteries that can supply power to PCOS machine for up to 16 hours.

Since our responsibility is to choose the rightful person for the public official position I might as well share with you some guidelines I had seen on the net from Commission On Elections (COMELEC)

1. The voter shall, using a ballot secrecy folder and the marking pen provided by the COMELEC, fill his ballot by fully shading the oval beside the names of the candidates and political party participating in the party list system of representation of his choice.
2. The voter shall then approach the PC0S machine; insert his ballot in the ballot entry slot and wait until the ballot is dropped into the ballot box. The Board of Election Inspector  shall monitor the PCOS screen to make sure that the ballot was successfully accepted. Thereafter, the voter shall return the ballot secrecy folder and marking pen to the chairman.
3. The chairman shall apply indelible ink at the base and extending to the cuticle of the right forefinger nail of the voter, or any other nail if there be no forefinger nail.
4. The voter shall affix his thumb mark on the corresponding space (beside his/her name) in the computerized voter’s list.
5. The voter shall then leave the polling place.

As added Precaution please note the following;
- Check your precinct and sequence numbers on a list at the voting place days before the election to avoid hassle during election day. You can also check your precinct on COMELEC's online Registration Verification just click on the link.
-Comelec deletes names of voters who have not voted for two consecutive elections.
-Bring extra Valid Identification Card with picture and signature just in case problem arise during validation.
-Be very extra careful in marking your ballot since COMELEC issue exact number of ballot on each specific precincts. This means that you cannot commit mistake in markings or your vote will not be counted. These ballots contain bar-codes which are unique for each precinct and Ultraviolet Markings to identify fraud ones.
-Cellphones and cameras are not allowed inside the precinct.

There are lots of speculations regarding how candidates will cheat and manipulate the 2010 election, news about jammers and disc switching and it is a reality we cannot prevent those power-hungry people from doing this thing, but we can do something by voting wisely, don't be lure by those popularity measures they publish on if who is on top of those stupid surveys. Vote for the person whom you truly believe have the best intention for our country and be vigilant with your camera and cellphone, there a lots of watch station like ABS CBN and GMA these are trusted networks where you can easily text message, call, twitter or email some suspicious people or situation on your place.

Songs I Listen this days

Some music I love to listen this Holy Week...

The Prayer
I pray you'll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don't know

Let this be our prayer
As we go our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
To a place where we'll be safe
La luce che to dai

I pray we'll find your light
Nel cuore restero
And hold it in our hearts
A ricordarchi che
When stars go out each night
Leterna stella sei
Nella mia preghiera
Let this be our prayer
Quanta fede ce
When shadows fill our day
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace

Give us faith so we'll be safe.
Sognamo un mondo senza piu violenza

Un mondo di giustizia e di speranza
Ognuno dia la mano al suo vicino
Simbolo di pace e di fraternita

La forza che ci dai
We ask that life be kind
Eil desiderio che
And watch us from above
Ognuno trovi amore
We hope each soul will find
Intorno e dentro a se
Another soul to love

Let this be our prayer
Let this be our prayer
Just like every child
Just like every child

Needs to find a place,
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
E la fede che
Hai acceso in noi
Sento che ci salvera

You Raise Me Up
When I am down,
and oh my soul's so weary
when troubles come and my heart burdened be.
Then I am still and wait here in the silence
until you come and sit a while with me.

You raise up so I can stand on mountains,
you raise me up to walk on stormy seas,
I am stong when I am on your shoulders,
you raise me up to more than can be.

Our Moments

Memories of our early romantic moments always put a smile on my face. Oh no this is not my post-valentine article, it's just that being together for almost three years thing seems gradually change a lot specially after settling down for almost 19 months.
Starting out as friends for a while, night outs and out of town trips we make sure we are always present in every invitation we got from our friends not only to please them, but most of all for us to be together often. There are even a time that we had an all-weekend of the month trip. As often as our group trips we also have our time alone together, most of the time we go for a stroll on parks, churches and some architectural inspired buildings for him to study since he is reviewing for his PRC exam then and just new in Manila.
Our romantic relationship started that way, we love sunset by the beach may it be in Bicol Beaches or just by the Manila bay it doesn't matter, actually we officially got together on the sunset of December 2, 2007. After then I always got to have flowers, sweets and teddy bears in no chosen day, each given in a distinguished different ways and all have kilig effects on me.
But since our early hitch to parenting last 2009 a lot of things have changed. Our happiness no longer includes going out instead we spend lot more time at home with our little boy. From romantic dinner to home-cooked meals and our kilig moments, beside those kiss and sweet jokes, is almost about to extinct. The only flower I got nowadays are those from my potted roses. I miss those times that we got ourselves alone, right now going out means that includes the yaya.
I am writing this on purpose of grabbing the romantic getaway for two from Hit a Bargain, we needed this break  alone again to rekindle our romantic moments in full privacy. It will surely be relaxing for us to stay at least for One Fine Day into One Great Place to recharge our body and mind and since it was located in Tagaytay, a half and hour away from manila it will never be far from home.

Rain Pours at Sunny Days

"When it pours it rains" yes my days are so into it right now, Im am very loaded right now with an estimate deadline tom, sigh....

There are days that I barely have nothing to do as in nothing, you can actually tell my slack days through my frugal site where I post 8 contest in a day and 2 reviews and joined a dozen of contest. But bot thisweek and in coming days I got an professional job right now and I apologized to my frugal friends.

As I say I have my work assignment to finish this weekend, review job to do, contest to join and post, website/blog to review, clothes to arrange and I havent done my weekly grocery yet gosh and its sunday noon already. I haven't done my adgitize tomorrow, zero points.

And to tell you frankly  I love it it that I am busy, it gives me the adrenaline rush to accomplish it but i hope i got atleast 25 hour/day until tuesday but that is pretty impossible.

I Need a pair of Shoes

This is a story of a young simple man hearing his story touches my heart it is.

He is a 15 year old senior high school student, belong to an average family with seven siblings, life is not comfortable for them. He got a full time Pastor father and a store owner mother, they live a simple life with earnings from their sari-sari store, some fruiting trees and manage a little piggery.

He manage to do the piggery job, he feed the pigs in the morning and after school he wash them he does it everyday with 6 square cement pigsty and still manage to play basketball afterward with his kababata..

He loves to play basketball, its the only luxury he have. And so their school sportfest came, he join the basketball team and was chosen as one of the first five, he was so happy to announced it to the family and his sibling are equally excited for him. But he got a problem his rubber shoes was worn out and his father refuse to give money even to for those cheap bargain one. He fervently as him for days but he refuse to and told him just take care of the pigs his brothers are in collage they need money for their education and it's a waste to spent it on some unnecessary things.

And so his last high school sportsfest pass with him just sitting their in the bench watching his buddies play. He manage not to look affected and he understand his father but his heart carry the adolescent pain until now.

Having a pair of shoes longer big deal for him since he already owns number of signatures shoes today, but time can no longer get back his young blood with rush of excitement playing infront of cheering girls and friends nor he have time to play basketball anymore. He is already a professional Architect and he only have 24 hours/7 days for his work and his family maybe someday when his son is ready to run and shoot around maybe he can find time to wear his shoe and play again.

Free Spirits

We had been married for 1 year, 6 months and 1 day now. We started out as friends then eventually he falls in love to me, he won't admit it though, and we became together just before christmas of 2007 and got hitch 8 months after.

We are both free spirited in our own ways, independent since we both live out of our parent house after graduation and manage out life alone well. He live a happy go lucky life of a bachelor for years and I cherish my single lady life.

We are both simple, we eat what want may it be that steak or fishball ni manong and we love to wonder around just as what we did in the picture take a trip to tagaytay then down to taal lake and up again into thr mouth of volcano and that was unplanned.

Most of the time we love to walk around, eat around, laugh and fool around with out little angel. Our free spirited manner can also be credited since our profession require us to be not too serious.

we also love to go around the city in motorcycle, it beats the makati traffic easy.

Pictorials

Let me share to you our very first official pictorial with the professional photographer here are some of the pictures

It was a nice experience for the three of us, but I am not really sure about Levi, He is in a bad mood that time. Most of his picture shows his real "characteristic" as the lady on the camera say. There is no image of him smiling and it took us 30 minutes running singing just to make him smile but we didn't empower his "sumpong" he wont dress up, throw costumes and even threaten to jump out of the big flower pot hay...

Anyway I just want to thank Smart Parenting.com for the prize, this photoshoot is one of my winnings last December.

***The pictures are not of high quality, I just scanned the prints they won't let us have the efile, sadly.

My December 2009 Winnings

How Old I Am

It is friday morning already TGIF! Let us have a something to laugh about. Got this one from a friends forwarded email here it is...

Beware of older men - they only get wiser!

woman decides to have a facelift for her 50th birthday.
She spends $15,000 and feels pretty good about the results.
On her way home, she stops at a newsstand to buy a newspaper.
Before leaving, she says to the clerk, 'I hope you don't mind my asking, but how old do you think I am
'About 32,' is the reply.'
'Nope! I'm exactly 50,' the woman says happily.

A little while later she goes into McDonald's and asks the counter girl the very same question.
The girl replies, 'I'd guess about 29.'
The woman replies with a big smile, 'Nope, I'm 50.'
Now she's feeling really good about herself.. She stops in a drug store on her way down the street.
She goes up to the counter to get some mints and asks the clerk this burning question.
The clerk responds, 'Oh, I'd say 30.'
Again she proudly responds, 'I'm 50, but thank you!'

While waiting for the bus to go home, she asks an old man waiting next to her the same question.

He replies, 'Lady, I'm 78 and my eyesight is going. Although, when I was young there was a sure-fire way to tell how old a woman was.  It sounds very forward, but it requires you to let me put my hands under your bra. Then, and only then can I tell you EXACTLY how old you are.'

They wait in silence on the empty street until her curiosity gets the best of her.
She finally blurts out, 'What the hell, go ahead.'

He slips both of his hands under her blouse and begins to feel around very slowly and carefully.
He bounces and weighs each breast and he gently pinches each nipple.
He pushes her breasts together and rubs them against each other.
After a couple of minutes of this, she says, 'Okay, okay....How old am I?'

He completes one last squeeze of her breasts, removes his hands, and says, 'Madam, you are 50.'

Stunned and amazed, the woman says, 'That was incredible, how could you tell?'
The old man says, 'Promise you won't get mad?'
'I promise I won't' she says.
'I was behind you at McDonalds

Wiser at 78! har har har!

Mommy Moments: New Born Days

We are expected to hear his first cry last 2008 Christmas day but he seems to love the warmth of my loving protection that he stayed longer but we can no longer wait for him to come out in his free will.

January 03, 2009 at 2:21pm,  after 23 hours he finally had his first breath of earth, I never expect to hear him that early during the operation, doctors keep on telling me that they haven't started yet because they know I am nervous. The sweet sound of his cry and a kiss on his cheeks was the last memory I had inside the OR.

The next day I had a chance to hold and nourish him, I am still afraid to hold him that time, afraid that i might drop or crush him . Funny he is so strong evey yawn he will lose on those blue blankets that nurses keep on tucking him in. He is in between 2 girls in the nursery but the nurses tells me that he is the most "iyakin" among them, his eyes are always puffy every time I visit him for feeding. Until we came home he is like a bat sleep at day and crying actively at night.

Levi is such cry baby but mommy will always have the patience for this little guy, forget with how my eye bags will look, there are lots of concealers and eye roll-on in the market as long as my Levi is comfortable in my arms.

Ontogeny

Archiving and browsing through my 200 files, I view our photos and it's wonderful to see how Levi had grown and I love to to share it here

Levi's Advancing To Technology

Just a little to share, Sunday afternoon around siesta time I and Levi inside his playpen, I trying to catch some sleep while he throw his toys, tumbling and screaming around. For five minutes he just keeps on  doing that, until I notice that he stop and seems to concentrate on something. At last  he saw my laptop on top of the bed he was trying to reach it with all his might and so I get and place it down he hurriedly came to it, bang his hands and trying to open its lid . To give more I open it and to his delight he start pressing his hands to the keys as if imitating us typing, until accidentally it turned on and before he lock it ( password protected). I put it off and give it again to him just to keep him busy. I t happened twice after that, and it start to irritate me but  he acting kinda different, stare at the gadget intently as if trying to figure out something and I tell you that he do figured out something.

From Santino to Bad Boy Baby Ama

My Levi just had his first official hair cut last Saturday 9th of January 2010 at our friendly neighborhood Barbero. Actually this is already his third haircut, we had long been planning this one even before he turn 1 but due to his parents hectic schedules, we only manage to do it a week after his birthday.
And since all of us are very excited including Papu no one remember to bring a camera so the memories just keep in our minds.

My Dream Vacation for Summer 2010

I always love Summer, since childhood it always lighten me up thinking that holy week is coming equally means school is ending and I have all days of the coming three months doing nothing but splashing and relaxing around.

That childhood thoughts still remains in me, though some changes a little as the years past, I am now running away from work instead of school and I no longer have a quarter of a year to spent luxuriously lazying around. But I view it on the positive side, now I have my own money to spent and I no longer need a parent consent or a companion on everywhere I go, yahoo!
